About Fiqra

Hi there My name is Fiqra and I am a newly qualified doctor, obtaining my degree from Bulgaria. I have an INSANE passion for sciences and it would give me great pleasure to pass on my knowledge to those who need it. Science may seem like a difficult subject at first however I believe with a bit of work and a lot of perseverance the concepts can be simplified and easily understood. I am very calm and patient and will explain concepts however many times I need to until my students understand them. I use several examples and test questions to help the student understand what they are to learn which I believe helps them remember better. I will push my students to try their best in whatever they do so they can develop skills which work best for them and encourage them to achieve their goals. I have over 10 years of experience as a personal tutor, helping many of my students achieve grades A and above in their exams. I also work in a tuition centre where I also lend my expertise and work both on a one-to-one and on a group basis. I am always available through email and my students should feel free to contact me at any time if they need any extra help. I always give parents a full summary of the lesson, student's progress, and plans for the next lesson and I encourage open communication and constructive feedback. Furthermore I am also able to teach subjects pertaining to medicine since I have completed a medical degree and help with providing teaching to medical students. Outside of tutoring I enjoy playing racquet sports, cooking, chess, travelling and reading amongst many other things! Hope to hear from you! I hold a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and have been involved in KS4 and KS5 debates. Other Qualifications : I also hold a Distinction in OCR Nationals Level 2 in ICT, a pass in Functional skills, an NOCN Level 3 Award in General Religious Education and can use Microsoft Office effectively.

About the lesson

I am a GCSE science teacher in Birmingham who covers all the different syllabuses and has particular experience with AQA and Edexcel. I am also able to teach A level biology. I carry out online lessons using presentations and different resources that suit each child.

Fiqra also goes through numerous practice questions and breaks them down for me and doesn't judge if my answer is wrong - she prefers to educate as appose to belittle others.
