About Monique
I hold an upper second-class degree in music from Royal Holloway University and also have qualifications in both Music GCSE (B) and Music A-level (B). I am an orchestral conductor in training I'm a choral vocalist in training so, I have a good understanding of music theory in general as well as a range of genres such as classical, pop, jazz, musical etc. I would love to teach music as I feel that in the current generation it is something that has been lost and I want to help young and aspiring musicians to reach their goals, whilst broadening their minds and attitudes about different musics and cultures from aroud the world.

Lesson structure will depend on the needs of the student, however lessons will typically be an hour. I would like to get to know my students before properly teaching them, i.e. learning their strengths and weaknesses of the subject as well as whether they play any instruments and what they enjoy so can try and tailor the lessons to benefit them as much as possible. I would also like to figure out whether the students have any specific needs regarding mental or physical disabilities that impact their learning so that I can adapt my teaching methods.
