About Laura
I was a high school social studies teacher from 1995 to 2001. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, a Master's Degree in Education, and a PhD in Sociology. I have taught at numerous colleges and universities in various disciplines and have won several teaching awards. I am experienced teaching in-person and online, and have attained several training certifications related to online education. I have completed the coursework for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) training and am currently working on the practicum hours.

I am creative and flexible. I believe that learning should be both rigorous and fun. I can teach sociology, criminology, or ESL for any level student. A sample lesson will include multimedia presentations, small and larger group discussions, and interactive activities that address all different learning styles.
