About Sophiya

With a GCSE grade 9 and A Level French (predicted) A* as well much experience speaking with native French speakers (during my exchange in France and other academic opportunities), I have always been asked and keen to share both my ability with French and with helping others to learn in a comfortable and enjoyable way.

I assisted in Primary School language support for a year where going beyond what was expected led to students improving their skills and confidence beyond any level seen by their teachers.

Having dedicated time to supporting both teachers and students throughout Secondary and College, you can trust that I will commit to making your French journey more enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

Hey I’m Sophiya an A Level French student experienced in supporting younger pupils, and am eager to share my love of French with learners keen to improve, keep up, practise or learn the language.

I am a strong believer of going beyond the curriculum and adapting the lessons wholly to the needs of any student to make the lesson an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. I am ready to help, be it with clearly going over the basics, providing spoken practice, resources and recommendations or supporting alongside a course you are (or will be) taking up to AS Level.

Interacting and using the language is so crucial to learning and feeling confident with French, having had the experience as a student I look forward to taking part in your language journey.
