About Elise
Hello! I’m a guitar instructor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music with a focus on Guitar Traditions. My background blends academic knowledge with practical experience in metal, shred, and progressive rock. These styles require precision and energy. I enjoy sharing both with students.
Lessons emphasize strong technique. Students practice alternate picking, sweep picking, tapping, and fast scale patterns. Each technique is developed gradually.
I teach both younger players and adult learners. Lessons are tailored to individual goals. Everyone learns differently.
Some students want heavy rhythm riffs. Others want advanced soloing skills. Music theory connects everything we practice. Students learn scales, modes, and phrasing. Practice becomes structured and engaging. Progress becomes clear over time. Together we develop confident and powerful guitar playing.

I employ visual demonstrations, slow-practice techniques, and step-by-step guidance. Fingerstyle phrasing, dynamics, and touch are developed carefully. Students gain confidence performing complex arrangements and creating their own music.
Some learners are motivated by recording and performance, while others are returning to guitar later in life. I support both by personalizing lessons and tracking progress. Lessons balance technique, creativity, and musicality.
Together, we explore the artistry of fingerstyle guitar. Each session strengthens skill, expression, and musical confidence. Students leave inspired and musically empowered.
