About Jack
Hi! I’m Jack, a final-year medical student with a First Class BSc in Biochemistry and AAA at A-level (2018). I’m a friendly, supportive, and experienced tutor who loves helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. With a strong background in the sciences and medicine, I’m skilled at explaining complex topics clearly and tailoring my teaching to suit each student’s learning style. I particularly enjoy helping students make sense of challenging concepts in biology, chemistry, and medical sciences. Outside of studying and teaching, I’m a keen musician, runner, and cyclist, which helps me bring energy and balance to everything I do. Whether you’re preparing for exams, refining your understanding, or aiming for top grades, I’m here to help you succeed.

Hi, I’m Jack — an enthusiastic and friendly online tutor. I’ve taught over 1,100 lessons and I love helping students not only boost their grades but also genuinely enjoy the subjects. My aim is to make tricky topics click by breaking them down clearly, building real understanding, and showing how biology and chemistry connect to the world around us. A true understanding of the content goes a long way to remembering it for exams, and building confidence. I hold a First Class Biochemistry degree from the University of York, and I’m now in my final year of graduate-entry Medicine. With an excellent academic record (including performance in University exams, medical school exams, UCAT entrance exam, A levels) and lots of positive feedback from students, I know how to balance exam-focused teaching with sparking interest and curiosity — so learning feels less like a chore and more like a discovery. Whether you need to build confidence, master exam technique, or deepen your understanding, I’ll tailor each session to your goals.
