About Madeline
I am a science teacher currently and the areas of science I have picked -biology, geology, botany- are my areas of expertise. I myself took more science courses in college than necessary for my degree. I have worked with all ages, from 5 to 18. I am ready to work with all ages still, even college students that need some extra help.

I am trained to give lessons with the 5 E approach -engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate- and it is a normalized basis for most of today's science lessons. I am also trained in the CER approach -claim, evidence, reasons- and appreciate how it doesn't have to be used for science solely. I take the state's learning standards into account when planning lessons and ask fellow science educators for inspiration regularly. We scientists make discoveries together, not on a solo trip.
