About Shireen
I am currently a student completing my PGCE at Stellenbosch Univeristy. I graduated last year with majors in English Studies and Psychology and a minor in Political Science. I was a teacher's assistant at a primary school in the year of 2016 where I discovered a love for teaching. My approach to teaching is making all lessons meaningful to learners.

I teach learners basic communicative skills through establishing accuracy and fluency. This will not be taught explicitly such as teaching grammar but rather is integrated into the lessons through engaging with different types of literature. We will engage critically with primary texts, and creative and new ideas will be encouraged.
