About Melody
I have a Bachelor's Degree in linguistics and 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. I'm a full time Foreign English Teacher at an elementary school in Taiwan. That means I specialize in teaching children, however I do have experience with older students. In total, I have taught over one thousand students, mostly in elementary school. I have helped students with small assignments such as passing an essay or lab report, and larger accomplishments such as gaining acceptance into college or law school.
I love teaching and learning about my students! When lessons are catered to the student, the learning process becomes much more fun. I can't wait to meet you!
Because I am in Taiwan, our lessons will be 100% online.

I offer lessons to anyone needing help with English reading, writing, listening, or speaking. I approach problems straightforwardly and offer multiple solutions when possible, especially encouraging the student to maintain their own voice in their writing. If there is a particularly difficult concept, I will work with you to find the best way to understand it.
Our first lesson will be understanding what level you're at and where you would like to improve. Afterward we'll use graded readers and answer comprehension questions. For speaking practice we'll role play dialogues.
I specialize in teaching children aged 7-16, but I also have experience with college students and adults. If you are an older student, please share your learning style(s) with me and I'll cater our lessons to that.
