About Emily
I’m Emily Johnson, a Miami-based Spanish instructor with 6 years of experience teaching learners of all ages. I hold a Master’s in Hispanic Studies from the University of Florida and completed a language immersion program in Salamanca, Spain. In 2023, I was honored with the “Innovative Language Educator” award by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Hola! I create immersive, practical Spanish lessons that take you from your very first “¡Hola!” to full conversations with ease. We start with essential phrases and pronunciation drills, using role-plays and real-world scenarios so you can use Spanish from day one. You’ll quickly build a working vocabulary and confidence in speaking, while having fun with interactive exercises and cultural insights. As you advance, I guide you through reading short texts, writing simple paragraphs, and listening to native audio clips that sharpen your comprehension and accent. You’ll learn grammar naturally—placed within meaningful dialogue—so that you internalize patterns without memorization. By the end of our time together, you’ll not only communicate effectively but also gain a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of Hispanic cultures.
