About John
I am a Chartered Accountant and have worked for many years in Industry as a Finance Business Partner.
I have used Excel for Analysis, Presentation, Automation and linkage to other packages.
I have been giving Excel tutorials to individuals and groups for 20 years, particularly corporate customers.
My students become comfortable using Microsoft Excel.

I give lessons to from beginner to intermediate level.
Delivery is online, using Skype and screen sharing.
I combining conceptual understanding with practice through worked examples.
Some of the skills a beginner will learn include :
Enter and edit Excel data.
Format numbers, fonts and alignment.
Make simple pivot tables and charts
Create simple Excel formulas.
Use Excel Functions IF and VLOOKUP
Filter and sort lists of data. Find the "Top 10" values.
Use Excel table functions to de-duplicate data and make totals.
Some of the skills an intermediate student will learn include :
Understand how Excel is used in a business context to analyze data.
Create a simple sales analysis report.
Introduction to macros and automation
Students should have a copy of Excel 2010, or Excel 2013 or Excel 2016, already installed.
Students should be familiar with working with files: opening, closing and saving files.
