About Willow
My journey with Excel began while working with large datasets and realizing how much clarity structured spreadsheets can provide. I completed an M.Sc. in Business Analytics, gaining strong experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools. Over 8 years, I have helped students move from confusion to confidence by breaking Excel down into logical, manageable steps.
I teach with patience and structure, always adjusting explanations to the learner’s pace. Many students initially feel overwhelmed by formulas or large datasets, so I focus on building confidence through repetition and understanding. I believe Excel should feel practical and empowering, not intimidating.
Outside teaching, I continue working with data analysis projects and productivity tools. Helping students gain confidence and independence with Excel remains one of the most satisfying parts of my work.

Excel becomes powerful when learners understand how data, logic, and structure work together to support decisions. My lessons focus on building strong spreadsheet foundations while gradually introducing advanced tools such as formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and automation. I guide students through real-world examples like budgeting, reporting, tracking performance, and analyzing trends. Every lesson emphasizes clarity, accuracy, and practical application rather than shortcuts. Learners are encouraged to explore, test formulas, and understand why results appear the way they do. This approach builds confidence and reduces fear of making mistakes.
For beginners, lessons focus on navigation, formatting, basic formulas, and charts. Intermediate learners develop skills in lookup functions, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data cleaning. Advanced learners explore dashboards, automation concepts, and complex formula logic. Lessons are paced according to the learner’s comfort level, with continuous practice and clear explanations. Each session includes hands-on exercises and guided feedback to ensure steady improvement.
Excel skills support problem-solving, organization, and analytical thinking across many fields. Students gain confidence handling data independently and presenting information clearly. My goal is to help learners feel capable, efficient, and confident using Excel in academic, professional, and personal settings.
