About Sam
My interest in Excel and data management began when I realized how organized information can make complex tasks easier to handle. I became curious about how spreadsheet tools could help analyze large amounts of data quickly. This curiosity led me to pursue advanced education in information systems and complete a PhD in Information Systems, where I studied data analysis and digital management tools.
During my 8 years of teaching, I have helped students learn how to use Excel for a variety of tasks, from simple calculations to more advanced data organization. My teaching approach focuses on clear demonstrations and practical exercises so learners can understand how spreadsheet tools work in real situations.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new data analysis tools and learning about different digital productivity methods. These interests help me stay updated with useful techniques that I can share with my students. Teaching Excel is rewarding because I see learners gain confidence in managing information and using technology effectively.

My Excel lessons focus on helping students understand how spreadsheets can be used to organize information and analyze data efficiently. Many people use Excel for simple tables, but the software offers many powerful features that can improve productivity. In my lessons we begin with the basic functions of Excel such as entering data, formatting cells, and performing simple calculations.
As learners gain confidence, lessons introduce useful functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, IF, and COUNT. I explain how these tools help automate calculations and simplify data analysis. Students also learn how to create charts and organize data tables so information can be presented clearly and effectively.
My goal is to help students develop practical Excel skills that they can apply in academic studies and professional work. Lessons focus on hands-on practice so learners can immediately use the techniques they learn. Over time students become more confident managing data and using spreadsheets to perform calculations and analysis efficiently.
