About Addison

My interest in spreadsheet software began while studying how technology helps people manage and analyze information effectively. I became interested in learning how Excel allows users to perform calculations quickly and present data in visual formats such as tables and charts. This curiosity encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s in Information Technology and later pursue a Master’s in Information Systems.

Over the past 5 years, I have helped students and professionals improve their Excel skills for different purposes. Many learners initially feel uncertain about using formulas or advanced tools. Because of this, I focus on teaching each concept in a clear and gradual way so students can understand the purpose of every function.

My teaching approach emphasizes practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises. I encourage learners to practice regularly so they become comfortable working with spreadsheets. Teaching Excel is rewarding because it allows me to help learners gain useful technical skills that support their academic and professional development.

About the lesson

My Excel lessons focus on helping learners develop practical skills for organizing and analyzing information through spreadsheets. Excel is widely used in academic studies and professional environments because it allows users to perform calculations, manage large amounts of data, and create clear visual reports. In my lessons, I explain how different Excel tools work and how they can be used to solve everyday tasks.

Lessons are structured according to the learner’s experience level. Beginners start with the basic interface, learning how to enter data, format cells, and perform simple calculations using formulas. Intermediate learners explore commonly used functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, and COUNT while learning how to organize data using sorting and filtering tools. Advanced students learn how to use pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas that help analyze larger datasets efficiently.

Excel becomes an extremely valuable skill when students understand how to use its tools to simplify complex tasks. My goal is to help learners build confidence and independence while working with spreadsheets so they can apply these skills in academic projects, workplace tasks, and personal data management.
