About Theo
My interest in Excel began when I discovered how much clarity and efficiency spreadsheets can bring to both academic work and professional decision making. I earned a B.Sc in Business Analytics and later completed an M.Sc in Information Systems Management, which strengthened my understanding of data systems and real-world reporting. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped learners develop strong spreadsheet skills through supportive guidance and practical learning.
I believe Excel should be taught through real tasks rather than memorization of isolated commands. My teaching style focuses on step-by-step clarity, patience, and meaningful examples that show students why each tool matters. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and gain confidence through active practice.
Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with data tools through reporting projects, productivity exploration, and continual learning of modern spreadsheet features. Teaching Excel is rewarding because students often progress quickly and see immediate results. Supporting learners as they master such a practical skill is deeply fulfilling.

Excel becomes far more powerful when students understand that it is not just a tool for numbers, but a system for organizing ideas, solving problems, and presenting information clearly. In my lessons, I guide learners through formulas, functions, charts, pivot tables, dashboards, and data organization with step-by-step support. I focus on helping students develop confidence in working with real spreadsheets so they can apply skills in school, business, and workplace environments. Each session feels practical, structured, and encouraging.
Lessons are shaped around each learner’s experience. Beginners start with formatting, basic calculations, and essential functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, and IF. Intermediate students build stronger skills with lookup functions, conditional formatting, structured tables, and error-checking techniques. Advanced learners explore pivot-based reporting, automation basics, financial modeling, and workflow efficiency strategies. Every class includes hands-on exercises, guided practice, and feedback to ensure steady improvement.
