About Maja

With 10 years of experience teaching piano, I have worked with students of all ages, from young beginners to college students and working professionals. My teaching approach combines patience, encouragement, and personalised guidance to ensure that every student feels confident and motivated to progress.

I have guided students in school and college performances, competitions, and graded music exams, helping them achieve milestones and develop their unique musical voice. Lessons cover technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, and I always adapt my methods to the student’s pace and interests.

I aim to make piano learning a fulfilling journey that nurtures creativity, builds discipline, and fosters a lasting love for music.

About the lesson

I follow a teaching methodology based on compassion, patience, and active support. I recognise that each student learns differently, and I adapt lessons to fit their pace, style, and goals. In piano lessons, I focus on technical skills, musical interpretation, rhythm, and creativity, combining structured exercises with pieces that are fun and engaging.

I maintain open communication, encouraging students to ask questions, set goals, and reflect on their progress. Supportiveness is key—I guide students patiently through challenges, celebrate achievements, and help them build confidence and motivation.

I extend this approach to other subjects I teach, such as music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation. My aim is to create a positive, inspiring environment where students develop skill, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
