About Xavier
Hi! My name’s Xavier and I am a violinist and violist with experience teaching all sorts of students from young children to adults at all skill levels. I am currently studying a dual B. Music Performance (Violin) and B. Advanced Studies (Statistics) at the University of Sydney. I have my LMusA in violin (AMEB) and a valid Working With Children’s Check.
Some other achievements
- Australian Youth Orchestra, the nation’s premier pre-professional symphony orchestra which tours under world-renowned conductors.
- Concertmaster of Sydney Conservatorium of Music Symphony Orchestra.
- Joint-winner of George Henderson’s Traveling Scholarship for string quartet (Germany, Finland).
- Concertmaster and Principal Violist of the Melbourne String Ensemble for the 2024 Germany and Czechia Tour.
- 1st prize winner in the under 19 category for Fine Master Violins International Competition.
- Masterclasses with Marlene Ito (Principal 2nd at Berlin Phil), Suyeon Kang (Hanns Eisler), Akiko Suwanai and
Takács Quartet.

Online lessons via Zoom, Google Meet or FaceTime.
Experienced teaching all ages and levels. Ages 9+ best suited for online lessons. First 30 min lesson is free. I will fix any sound issues as well as get to know you and what your musical goals are.
I can help you achieve your objectives such as scholarship auditions, eisteddfods, an A grade on an AMEB exam or simply a casual performance. I will create a tailored plan and method of practice to ensure effective preparation for whatever you want to achieve.
My priority as a teacher is giving you agency over your own learning, focusing on improvement to maintain motivation, and most of all creating an enjoyable and safe environment to get better!

Xavier has been my violin teacher for a while now. He has taught using the Suzuki books and we are just finishing book 2.
As a teacher, he is very patient and empathises with beginner frustrations. He works with both adults (myself) and children.
