About Matthew
As a French tutor with 18 years of experience, I have helped 150 to 200 High School and College students improve their understanding of the language and achieve their academic goals. My teaching philosophy is to make learning simple, practical, and engaging.
I believe that students perform better when they enjoy the subject, so I focus on creating a positive and interactive learning environment. I use real-life examples, structured lessons, and conversation-based learning to make lessons meaningful.
I also support students in exam preparation and help them improve their overall performance. One of my notable achievements is helping students gain confidence and achieve better results.
Many of my students have developed strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning French. I aim to make every class productive and enjoyable.

My teaching approach for French is designed to make learning simple, engaging, and practical. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain concepts clearly, helping students understand how to apply the language in real-life communication.
I maintain flexibility by adapting lessons according to each student’s learning needs, pace, and goals, ensuring a comfortable and personalized experience. I encourage collaboration by involving students in discussions, speaking exercises, and interactive activities that build confidence and fluency.
I also follow a compassionate teaching approach, creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel supported. In addition to French, I also support students in grammar, vocabulary development, pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills.
I also include cultural understanding to help students connect with the language more deeply and use it effectively.
