About Collen

I am a passionate Piano teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, helping students of all ages discover the joy of music. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals through personalized and goal-oriented lessons.

My teaching approach emphasizes patience, flexibility, and continuous improvement. Every student has unique strengths, so I design lessons that help them learn comfortably while staying motivated throughout their musical journey.

My lessons cover piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, performance preparation, and proper practice methods. I focus on helping students build both technical skills and musical confidence.

Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard techniques and foundational music theory. These additional skills help students become more complete musicians with a deeper understanding of music.

I am committed to helping students achieve success through supportive guidance and practical learning. My greatest reward is seeing students enjoy playing Piano with confidence.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and practical learning. I believe piano education should develop technical skills while encouraging creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Every lesson is carefully planned according to the student's individual goals.

Students first master posture, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. Once these basics become comfortable, they continue with scales, chords, articulation, pedal techniques, expressive performance, dynamics, sight reading, and musical interpretation.

I use demonstrations, interactive discussions, and practical exercises to explain each topic. Students receive customized practice routines and regular feedback that support continuous improvement. I encourage students to understand the purpose behind every exercise instead of simply memorizing music.

Students learn music from different styles while strengthening creativity through accompaniment, improvisation, and performance practice. These activities improve listening skills and artistic confidence.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm development, ear training, music theory, music appreciation, sight reading, performance preparation, and beginner composition. These related subjects help students become well-rounded musicians.

My goal is to help students build confidence, achieve their musical goals, and develop a lifelong love for piano.
