About Vasilisa
I am an Executive Assistant and Event Manager with a foreign language studies and economics background. My background has fostered a love for literature and the English language and I enjoy passing that knowledge on to my students. I like to find real-world applications that make my lessons more than just subject matter. Relevancy is important to me as a tutor and I firmly believe it should be important to my students.

My lessons are tailored to fit middle and high school students' personalities and different learning styles. I build my first lesson around identifying the issues and what they feel would help them learn better.
A typical lesson will have the following structure:
- Review materials from the students' classes that day (or week) depending on the frequency of our sessions.
- Identify pain points.
- Answer questions like: what assignments did you have the most trouble with, what topics felt easy v. hard, are there questions that you had that felt unanswered.
- Review and complete both past and upcoming assignments.
- Identify what you are going to work on between this session and the next.
