As a teacher with experience delivering both the Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge IGCSE curricula, I have developed a strong passion for helping students build scientific understanding while cultivating the critical thinking skills needed for success beyond the classroom. I am therefore pleased to submit my application for the Secondary School Science Teacher position at your school.

In my current role, I have been responsible for planning and developing the Scheme of Work (SOW) for Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science for Grades 10 and 11. This experience has strengthened my understanding of curriculum design, assessment planning, and the effective sequencing of content to meet syllabus objectives and examination requirements. In addition, I teach Combined Science to Grade 10 students, where I strive to make scientific concepts accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyday life.

Beyond Science, I have gained valuable experience teaching a range of subjects across different year levels. I have taught ICT to Grade 9 students, Global Perspectives to Grade 8 students, and Mathematics to Grade 7 students. These opportunities have enabled me to develop a versatile teaching approach and a deeper appreciation for supporting learners with diverse strengths, interests, and learning needs. Teaching across disciplines has also enhanced my ability to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and digital literacy skills in the classroom.
