About Rachel
I'm a qualified secondary school teacher with over 10 years of experience in Australia and the UK. I genuinely love building relationships with students and enabling them to feel more confident and capable in English. Whether it's improving essay writing or learning to use commas, I know that success looks different for every student. I want to work with you to define and achieve success for you. Alongside classroom teaching, I've worked in wellbeing roles and have lived experience as the parent of a neurodiverse child. This gives me a deep understanding of some of the barriers faced in mainstream classrooms, and I bring a calm and flexible approach to every lesson.

I have taught students from Grade 6 all the way up to VCE, and have experience with both 1-1 and small group tutoring. I'm comfortable working with all levels of learner, having run intervention literacy sessions, advanced English classes and senior English, both VCE and UK GCSEs. I'm particularly passionate about helping students who don't thrive in mainstream classrooms, whether due to neurodiversity, anxiety or simply not suiting the style and pace of it!
I'm currently offering:
1-1 tutoring (1 hour) either online or in person within 15 mins of Sunbury.
