Whether you are aiming for a specific grade, preparing for an exam, or simply want to improve your skills, I can tailor my teaching to suit your needs and goals. As a passionate Physics student, I have a deep understanding of the subject and a knack for explaining it to others. I have learned to master the concepts by teaching myself first, and then sharing my knowledge with my students. I also know how challenging exam technique can be, and how it can affect your performance. That’s why I focus on helping you develop the best strategies to ace your tests and overcome any difficulties. I keep in touch with the parents or guardians of my students (if they wish) and update them on the progress and achievements of their children. I have experience in teaching students of all ages, from 6 to 18, with a strong focus on A-level and GCSE courses. I enjoy working with different types of learners and finding the most effective ways to help them succeed.

I teach online lessons using Meet (or Zoom if preferable), with a full headset and webcam. I also use virtual interactive whiteboard software (Jamboard or Microsoft OneNote) to enhance my teaching, which allows both me and the student to edit and participate. All the notes we create are saved to the cloud and accessible to the student at any time, even if they do not take their own notes. I use exam board resources and past papers extensively, and assign homework based on them. I also use exam-oriented teaching methods to improve the student’s exam technique and confidence. My typical hour lesson structure is: - 0-10 minutes: Covering homework, and addressing any difficulties - 10-40 minutes: Covering content and concepts - 40-55 minutes: Practising and applying the knowledge - 55-60 minutes: Asking and answering questions, and setting homework tasks I find having 2 hour lessons boosts productivity per hour, allowing focusing on the question and content part of the lesson. I personalise my teaching method according to the student’s needs and goals: - For students who are struggling with a subject, I explain the fundamentals from the ground up, as often there are only a few gaps in their understanding that prevent them from grasping the whole subject. This can change their performance and attitude towards the subject. - For students who are aiming for the top level, I focus on exam techniques and give them many tips and tricks to maximise their marks. (Sadly, this is often the most important factor in achieving high grades.) I also happily supply super-curricular materials, if requested.

Vadan is a friendly yet capable, thorough and professional tutor in Physics. His excellent approach has helped me secure an A-Grade in Physics. Vadan has been very helpful with A-level physics throughout year 12 & 13. His teaching notes are concise and comprehensive for all the physics topics. He is not afraid to try different methods of explaining complex topics when I have had problems understanding them. His knowledge on exam technique and the structure of exams has also been key for improving my performance in exams.
I strongly recommend Vadan as he is a brilliant physics tutor!Vadan is kind & encouraging to his students, which helps him build rapport with his students immediately. He is clear & gives praise where needed; a quality that is necessary in a good teacher in my opinion. His method of teaching is excellent as he manages to teach students at their level of understanding. He was very professional in all our dealings with him & we wish him the very best.
Vadan has been teaching in the local Kumon centre for the last 4 years. He also has has taught physics and chemistry to my daughter. He has this natural ability to making complicated topics in a simplified way which is his biggest strength. Because of his young age he connects well with students but at the same time have mature and firm approach to teaching and learning.
