About Charlotte

I am a friendly, patient and professional tutor who has a real passion for her subjects! No matter your level of understanding, we can proactively work together to help you master a subject and get top grades! My favourite part of tutoring is watching the confidence grow in students as they begin to understand tricky concepts and apply them into their studies. It is really inspiring to be a part of someone's academic journey to help them achieve the best of their potential.

About the lesson

I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Warwick University, an MSc in Global Health from King's College London and am currently studying an accelerated course in Medicine at Barts and the London. I have applied to both Undergraduate and Graduate Medicine, and have a 100% success rate with offers post-interview. I have been offered places to study Medicine at Barts, St George's, Warwick and Southampton. I have also taken the UCAT twice, most recently achieving a score of 3000 (750). I am a very experienced tutor, having tutored since I was 16! I have been a home-schooling teacher for a young woman, being her sole educator for IGCSE Biology across two years and was delighted when she achieved an 8 in her exams. I like to tailor each session to the student, taking into account their preferred learning styles. I am a big fan of recall learning methods and will prepare questions, homework and mock examinations for the student (optional!). Biology/Chemistry/Science Lessons are 45 minutes but can be more or less depending on your preference! UCAT/Medical School Admissions will be 60 minutes. Tutoring available Online or In-person (dependent on location). I have experience tutoring... -students with neurodiversity including ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism -students from the age of 6 I'd love to discuss more, please send me a message! :)

Charlotte worked sensitively and relationally with my daughter, in what I would call a child-centred manner. Charlotte was very patient and encouraging of my daughter despite her initial distinct lack of enthusiasm for the subject. Her lessons were well structured, scheduled and tailored to my daughter’s needs, with appropriate feedback and exam practice. Charlotte made the time engaging, which was therapeutic and confidence building, and my daughter actually began enjoying the subject!
