About Tyler

I started learning the piano since the age of 7, studying with the great professor Marta Karbownicka. Throughout my years as a child/teenager, I played in concerts many times as well as achieving a distinction in my ABRSM grade 8. In 2017 I was excepted onto the BMus Classical piano course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study alongside professor Philip Jenkins. In the last year I have also been accepted onto the masters course to further my education.

About the lesson

Each and every student is different. My goal is to take these differences and use them to find the most appropriate avenue for the students success. I teach all ages, from beginner to grade 8+.

When teaching, I aim to employ a wide range of teaching techniques. When teaching children I use games, singing, art and improvising as tools to get the students engaged. When teaching adults I like to have more in depth conversations on the art of piano playing.

When teaching children its important to have regular practice and lessons, as well as support from the parent (working together with your child while they practice is an integral part to their development as a musician).
