About Valeria

Teaching is my greatest passion, and I bring both extensive experience and formal education to my work. My approach is highly personalized—I strive to find the best way to connect with each student, inspiring them to fall in love with the harp and music as a whole. My students often describe me as motivating, inspiring, engaging, and friendly.

With a strong foundation in music harmony, theory, history, and aural skills, I complement my teaching with the insights I've gained as a solo, orchestral, and chamber musician. Performing regularly enhances my teaching, allowing me to provide practical, real-world advice.

I graduated with Distinction from the Royal College of Music, specializing in teaching, and previously studied at Gnessin's College of Music and the Moscow Conservatoire, where I also earned a teaching degree. My commitment to professional growth has led me to achieve the prestigious dipABRSM Teaching Diploma, teach at various music festivals including British Isles Music Festival.

With over seven years of teaching experience, I work with students of all ages and levels, guiding them to achieve their goals

About the lesson

I'm a London-based harpist offering lessons from my home studio in NW9. My one-hour lessons are tailored to provide a well-rounded musical education, incorporating music theory, solfege, and music history. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, we can explore your favorite genres and work together to achieve your personal musical goals.
