About Dr Sam

I am a fully qualified chartered Chemical Engineer with over 7 years of industrial experience who has achieved a first class MEng honours degree from the University of Surrey. I also hold a doctorate in engineer ( Eng.D). I have extensive teaching experience working with GCSE, A-Level and University students.

About the lesson

My teaching method revolves around constructing detailed notes as per the tutee's request prior to the tutoring session. These will be used as a foundation for revision in the future. My main method involves being engaging with the student. Specifically, I will construct lessons based on the exam boards' specifications and past papers. The student and I will go through the problems together where we will both solve it simultaneously, such that their mathematical knowledge will get nurtured and embedded. If need be, we can go through the basics and build up the mathematical knowledge until we reach the fundamentals.

Perfect! Sam is an excellent maths teacher. Text communication with Sam has been easy. He is flexible with his timetabling of lessons for my Y11 grandson. My grandson has worked well with Sam and has increased in confidence as his maths lessons have progressed. He feels better prepared for his upcoming GCSE maths exams.

Perfect! Sam is outstanding tutor. He didn't just help my son with missed 1 year at school catch up he made him get reall interest in the subject. He teaches him deep in the subject so they cover some GCSA and A level. From worried to go to school and terrified with tests boy my son is now proud to show his knowledge and finds lessons in school boring. At the moment my son is year 9. This led to my child achieving over 80% in both subjects for final exams in high school.
