For over 15 years, I’ve been tutoring and mentoring people of all ages — helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Teaching isn’t just something I do; it’s something I love. I’m passionate about breaking down complex ideas into clear, simple steps and creating a supportive environment where learners feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My goal is always the same: to see my students succeed, not just in their studies, but in believing in themselves. The lightbulb moment when a student gets something that they have struggled with for so long, is possibly one of the most rewarding experiences a teacher can have and it's one of the reasons I tutor.

I believe effective tutoring is more than just teaching facts — it’s about unlocking confidence, curiosity, and independence in learning. My approach combines three key elements: Personalised Learning Plan – I start by understanding each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. This ensures every lesson is tailored to their unique needs, pace, and learning style. Step-by-Step Mastery – Complex concepts are broken down into manageable, easy-to-grasp steps. I use practical examples, interactive activities, and clear explanations so students can fully understand and retain what they learn. Skills for Life – I focus not only on the subject matter, but also on building problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and effective study habits — so my students can thrive independently long after our sessions. I started my teaching career as a private tutor when I was studying for my degree in Biochemistry and then Qualified as a teacher with a Certificate in Education in the FE and High School Education Sectors, predominantly helping GCSE Maths re-sit students to achieve their GCSE in Maths. I have also delivered GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Psychology, FS Maths and A-Level Psychology lessons in the classroom and as a private tutor online. Typical Length of a lesson is 60 Minutes but I can be flexible to suit your needs.
