About Julia

I'm a multidisciplinary artist, creator, and art teacher with a genuine passion for helping others discover their creativity. Art has been a constant part of my life since childhood—a paintbrush was never far from my hand, and my family home became an ever-evolving canvas for my imagination. My practice spans a variety of disciplines, from drawing and painting to mixed media and sculpture, and I'm always excited to explore where different creative approaches meet. I love experimenting, blending techniques, and pushing beyond convention while keeping the creative process enjoyable and accessible. Above all, I believe that making art should be fun. Developing technical skills is important, but confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment are just as essential to artistic growth. My lessons are designed to be supportive, personalised, and full of encouragement, creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and developing their own unique artistic voice. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to refine your practice, I'd love to help you build both your skills and your confidence as an artist :))

About the lesson

My lessons provide a calm, supportive, and encouraging environment where you can develop your artistic techniques, confidence, and creativity. Every student is different, so I tailor each lesson to your interests, goals, and experience level, helping you grow at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you'd like to improve your drawing and painting skills, explore new materials, or simply build the confidence to create more regularly, I'll guide and encourage you every step of the way. Together we'll develop your technical abilities while also helping you discover your own artistic style and creative voice. Lessons are available in 1- or 2-hour sessions, depending on what suits you best. I have four years of experience teaching art to both children and adults, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch my students grow—not only in their artistic skills but also in their confidence and enjoyment of the creative process. I've taught everyone from children as young as five to adults in their nineties, and I truly believe that creativity has no age limit. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the very first time or looking to take your practice to the next level, I'd love to help you on your artistic journey. Let's make some art together!
