About Oliviayap
I am an art teacher with experience in both painting and instruction, specializing in art education for children and absolute beginners. The core of my teaching philosophy is not merely about imparting technical skills, but focuses on nurturing and safeguarding each child's innate interest in painting.
I firmly believe that creativity comes from a motivated mind. Therefore, my tutoring adheres to a child-centric approach, where I gradually strengthen their foundational art skills while fully respecting and preserving each child's unique nature.
I graduated from The One Academy in 2020 with a Diploma in Illustration which is a prestigious art school in Malaysia. I've been working as a freelancing artist since. I've learned all the basic fundamentals in art both traditionally and digitally while studying.

In my classes, you won't find rigid rules, but rather a lighthearted and casual creative atmosphere. I believe in fostering their self-confidence and creative abilities, which is why I am committed to providing an incredibly friendly and non-judgmental artistic space for every child.
I specialize in creating a relaxed, friendly, and non-judgmental environment. I am personally skilled in various mediums such as watercolor, sketching, colored pencils, and crayons. With years of teaching experience, my approach is never one-size-fits-all. Instead, I flexibly adapt the lesson content based on each student's interests and current skill level, making complex knowledge easy to understand.
My ultimate goal is not merely to teach children how to draw, but to motivate them to have passion for art within their hearts through every interaction. I hope painting becomes a joyful outlet for them to express themselves and appreciate the beauty in life.
