About Marc

I’m a writer and author with a BA from Temple University and experience writing across many different forms, including novels, short stories, graphic novels, and children’s books. This variety in projects helps form a valuable perspective and is something I am proud to bring to my teaching. I’ve even written many screenplays and made my own films which have played at numerous film festivals and showcases. My short fiction has appeared in various publications and has received recognition from the Pushcart Prize for prose.
I’ve always loved writing, having done it since I was seven years old. I love the idea of crafting a story that intrigues people and is totally unique. This is the approach I bring to my tutoring—to find what makes your writing you and bring that out in the best and most compelling way, all while keeping in mind grammar, spelling, proofreading, and general writing skills.

My goal is to find what makes your story unique and truly yours, and help you to emphasize that in the most effective way. Together, we’ll find what works and what doesn’t in your current draft, and discover how to sculpt your ideas into eloquent and impactful prose, all while keeping in mind rhythm, pacing, and general effective storytelling techniques.
