About Ella

I hold a Bachelor of Music from the University of Waikato and have over 16 years of experience teaching cello to students of all ages, from young beginners to adults. I have taught in private studios, group classes, and schools, including Community School of Music and school lesson, ensemble and orchestra too.

My experience includes preparing students for graded music exams, concerts, and ensemble performances. I also have a strong background in orchestral, church, and community music, and enjoy creating a supportive and motivating learning environment for every student.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building solid technique, musical expression, and confidence in a positive and enjoyable learning environment. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, whether for beginners, exam preparation, or performance. I believe learning music should be enjoyable and motivating, and I encourage students to develop a love for music while making steady progress.
