About Lorie

As an immigration case manager at a law firm, I work closely with clients applying for Permanent Residency. Through this experience, I’ve seen firsthand how language skills significantly impact one’s ability to find employment, settle in Canada, and strengthen their immigration applications. This insight inspired me to support newcomers not only with their legal paperwork but also with language preparation. For over five years, I’ve been teaching CELPIP and guiding students toward their goals. Helping them succeed—whether it's passing the test, securing a job, or becoming a confident communicator—has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

About the lesson

As a CELPIP tutor, my approach is student-centered, practical, and results-driven. I begin by assessing each student's English proficiency and immigration goals—whether it's for Permanent Residency or Citizenship—and then tailor lessons accordingly. I focus on building core language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) through real-life scenarios, sample test questions, and personalized feedback.

I share my knowledge by breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand lessons, using online tools, recorded materials, and interactive exercises. My goal is to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel confident and well-prepared for their CELPIP test. I also provide insights into test strategies, time management, and common pitfalls to ensure success.
