About Valerie
I’m a college chemistry teacher with a passion for helping students truly understand the “why” behind the science. My approach emphasizes understanding over memorization. I use clear explanations, visual aids, guided practice, and real-life applications to help students make meaningful connections with the material. I adapt my methods to each learner’s needs, focusing on both conceptual clarity and problem-solving strategies.
Each session begins with a quick review of key concepts or past material, followed by an interactive explanation of the topic of the day. Students then apply their knowledge through examples and exercises, with feedback and tips provided along the way. Lessons wrap up with a brief summary and optional practice suggestions.
As a college chemistry teacher, I bring classroom experience and a deep understanding of common student challenges. My lessons are dynamic, student-centered, and adapted to different learning styles. I focus on building confidence and helping students see chemistry as logical and approachable rather than intimidating.
My lessons are designed for college and advanced high school students studying general chemistry, solution chemistry, or related science courses. I also support students preparing for exams or seeking to strengthen their foundational understanding in chemistry.
