About Yisheng
Hi, my name is Yisheng. I am from China and I love teaching Chinese, and I am especially good at helping non-native speakers master the language. As a Linguistics student at the University of Toronto, I continue to enrich my teaching experience through academic research and practice. In addition to teaching the basics of the language in the classroom, I enjoy sharing all aspects of Chinese culture, from history to modern life. I strongly believe that language learning is more than just mastering vocabulary and grammar, it is a key to unlocking new cultures and new worlds. Whether you are a beginner or a basic learner, I am willing to customize your own learning plan and help you improve your Chinese in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

During my tenure as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant in the Chinese Language Learning Program at the University of Toronto, I have been involved in developing and optimizing teaching platforms and designing more than 500 individualized lessons to help students strengthen their language fundamentals and enhance their language application skills. From basic grammar to advanced writing skills. I pay close attention to students' progress and individual needs, and regularly discuss with them their learning outcomes and adjust their lesson plans to ensure that they are improving steadily. I believe that every student's learning path is unique, so my lessons are always flexible and relevant.
