About Sonia
I am Sonia Reid, a Professional Singer and Vocal Coach based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario where I studied Music and Psychology at Redeemer University. In Ontario, I had a private studio with approximately 30 students that I taught weekly. I did solo performances on a regular basis and directed youth choirs as well as music directing. When I moved to Saskatchewan, I re-established my studio in this community and continued performing. I am currently working out of my home studio Sonia Reid Studios where I provide vocal coaching programs and also perform in the community and elsewhere.
As a performance-based artist and independent business owner, my mission is to see your confidence built by giving you the tools you need for your singing and performances. I have been a Vocal Coach for 25 years and continue to study vocal pedagogy so I can offer you the tools and techniques to be the singer you desire to be. We use vocal exercises, breathing techniques, performances, and more to develop your musicianship.

My focus is always to help my client achieve their goals. How do you want to sound? Are there challenges I can help you overcome in your singing? What music do you want to sing? I work with teenagers and adults, beginners all the way to seasoned professionals. Are you doing gigs or shows and need someone to help you be in tip top shape? Want to explore your voice? Let's talk. Over the last two years I have studied and utilize the Neuro-Vocal method as a part of my methodology. Based on knowledge of brain function, Neuro-Vocal teaches singers to steer changes in their brains and be guided by the changes as they occur. This approach can achieve remarkably fast results. It puts the singer in the driver's seat with tools for a healthy voice that lasts a lifetime.
