About Christina
Hello! I’m Dr. Requa, a dedicated educator with a Doctorate in Education and a deep passion for helping students grow as confident, capable learners. I specialize in Reading Intervention and English Language Arts, working primarily with students in grades 5–9. Over the years, I’ve taught diverse learners in both general and special education settings, providing individualized instruction that builds literacy skills, critical thinking, and academic confidence. Currently, I serve as a school leader, where I support teachers in implementing effective instructional practices and developing engaging, standards-aligned curriculum. While I greatly value the opportunity to lead and mentor other educators, my heart remains in direct instruction, working one-on-one with students to help them discover their strengths and overcome challenges. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and guiding them toward success through structured, personalized, and encouraging learning experiences. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when given the right tools, strategies, and support.
