About Marlys

I am a nurse, educator, author, and former healthcare executive with more than 50 years of professional experience and over a decade of classroom teaching experience.

Throughout my career, I have taught and mentored students, healthcare professionals, and adult learners in a variety of settings, including colleges, hospitals, and community organizations. My background includes nursing, healthcare administration, biology, medical terminology, healthcare communication, leadership, and professional development.

As an educator, I believe every student can learn when instruction is tailored to their individual needs and learning style. I am known for my patience, clear explanations, and ability to make complex subjects understandable and practical.

In addition to teaching, I am the author of books and articles focused on resilience, caregiving, and personal growth. My goal is to help students not only achieve academic success but also develop the confidence and skills that support lifelong learning.

I measure success not only by grades and test scores, but by a student's growing confidence and independence.

About the lesson
