About Katie
I'm a big nerd who is still definitely a kid at heart! I have always been passionate about learning - especially supporting young people to get the education they need in the way they need it.
Teaching to me is about passing on knowledge but also about seeing young people become confident in who they are.
I love sci-fi films and TV and if we do online sessions I'm sure my cat will join us!

I believe that each student is an individual with their own ways of learning and taking in information. I also believe that learning should always be fun, no matter what age! I will work with the student to discover their hobbies and interests and use these to progress the lessons along.
My lessons tend to be an hour but I can also accommodate longer sessions. I have worked as an educator for around 10 years now, supporting charities to deliver work in schools. I have specific SEN knowledge and experience.
For up to age 12/Year 6 I can cover most topics and am aware of the curriculum. OVer age 12 my strengths are in English (Language and Literature), History, Sociology, Law and other life skills such as univeristy applications and CV writing.
