About Laurence
Ciao, buongiorno, benvenuti. I'm Laurence, a lover, teacher in training, and former student of both German and Italian - with un petit peu of French on the side, too. With around 10 years' experience successfully learning languages, and several years' worth using them practically - which is a totally different ball game - and recently training to teach them, I'm well positioned to help you learn. Credentials: German to GCSE (A*), International Baccalaureate (7/7), and Degree level (2:1) with around 6 months in total on courses and internships in German-speaking countries. Approx level C1. Italian to GCSE (A*), International Baccalaureate (6/7), approx level B2. French to GCSE (A*), approx level B1.

Ciao, mi chiamo Lorenzo. E tu? Come ti chiami? I'm concerned with the fundamentals of learning language, but also applying it practically! This means I focus a lot on speaking and writing, rather than only teaching you grammar or getting you to read lots. Knowing a language in theory is totally different from actually using it! Italian is an easy and very fun language to pick up. Italian culture is also an integral part of learning the language - and what fun you can have learning about festivals such as Carnevale and the origins and types of Italian food too!
