About Kari
I am an elementary school teacher, with 20 years experience teaching in grades pre-K through 3rd. I am also a Reading Specialist, and have helped hundreds of struggling students from K through 12th grade, find success in Reading and Writing using various strategies and interventions learned in my Master's classes and in the many trainings I've attended and taught throughout my teaching career. I meet my students where they are academically, and take them where they need to be. Each student is unique, and learns differently, and I have hundreds of strategies and interventions to choose from to help each student be successful in all of the components of Reading and Writing. I like to make learning fun and engaging, and student centered. I like to get to know my students on a personal level, to trade stories and experiences. I want my students to know I care, and to make them feel comfortable asking me anything or sharing any concerns with me.
