About Ember
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have spent eleven years teaching students across various levels, blending technical knowledge with mentoring skills. My fascination with engineering began with curiosity about how things work and how systems can be improved, which evolved into a commitment to guiding others to understand, create, and innovate. I approach teaching with adaptability, personalisation, and focus on both theoretical understanding and practical application. I emphasise independent thinking, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity, ensuring that students are not only learning concepts but developing the confidence to apply them creatively and effectively. Outside teaching, I engage in research projects, engineering competitions, and professional development. Engineering is not just a discipline I teach — it is a way to understand and impact the world, and mentoring students to excel in it is both my profession and passion.

Engineering is the art and science of solving real-world problems, and my lessons are designed to instil conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and practical application. Each lesson encourages curiosity, exploration, and analytical thinking, fostering both confidence and intellectual independence. I create an environment where learners feel empowered to experiment, question assumptions, and approach problems with both creativity and precision. Conceptual clarity, hands-on exercises, and structured reasoning are cornerstones of my teaching philosophy, allowing students to develop a deep appreciation for engineering principles. Beginners focus on fundamentals such as statics, basic mechanics, and introductory design principles. Intermediate learners explore dynamics, thermodynamics, material science, and applied mathematics in engineering contexts. Advanced students engage in systems design, project planning, simulations, and problem-solving for complex real-world scenarios.
