About Tanya
I hold a **Law Degree from the University of Pretoria**, where I achieved distinctions in the majority of my subjects. I practiced as an attorney for several years and later as a legal advisor before pursuing my passion for teaching. My legal background equipped me with invaluable skills in effective and confident communication (both written and verbal) and the ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of scenarios using critical thinking. In addition, I earned a **Bachelor of Education Degree in English and History** from North-West University, graduating with distinction. During my studies and beyond, I gained five years of teaching experience, working with students from junior primary to A-level or Matric in both IEB/CAPS and Cambridge curriculums. Many of my students excelled, achieving distinctions. My tutoring journey began during my law degree and has extended across various subjects, including Law, English, History, Mathematics, and Education. I’ve assisted students in applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios—ranging from assignments to real-life challenges. I’ve also helped students improve core skills like reading, speaking fluently, and writing as well as more difficult skills such as preparing for external exams to meet university admission requirements.
