About Xavi
I am Xavi and currently studying Literature/Politics at the University of Edinburgh. My background has given me understanding of common challenges faced with exam techniques, lack of interest in subjects because of boring teaching styles, endless past papers and so on. This is what inspires me to bring enthusiasm, genuine understanding and curiosity to my teaching style. I have experience volunteering within schools cultivating interest and exam performance, whilst also having extensively tutored in a range of subjects up to A-Level standard. My lessons aim to bring both intrigue, understanding and exam success to you!

My Lessons are based on your needs: top exam results, essay technique and writing analysis, learning content and eloquent articulation of ideas... Lessons typically last an hour yet for younger students or those with less attention span can be reduced or include breaks. The balance between creative intrigue and academic rigour is key to my view of success! I have achieved 4 high A*s in A-Levels (English literature, Politics, History and Music) and received awards at University for my literature + politics essays. Moreover, I was awarded a year-long place at the University of Toronto to advance my literary scholarship further. I have several years of experience tutoring 11-18 year olds of all standards from 11+ to GCSE and A-Levels (including voluntary work in schools) and can offer an extensive range of past papers and high level exam preparation material. - Lesson lengths: 30, 60, 90 minutes - Standard: 11-16,GCSE, A-Levels/Pre-U/IB - Subjects: English Literature/Language, Politics, History, Geography, Sociology, Music
