I'm an experienced English teacher, and I've taught both in the UK and in South Africa. I've also lived internationally, and have three qualifications from three universities in three countries.
I have an MA in English Literature, and my PGCE was achieved with distinction. I am also qualified to teach English as an Additional Language.
My teaching style will begin formally, as it is the best way to find out what a learner is good at, and what they need to improve. Gradually, as the lessons go on, they will become less formal, and learning will happen in a more organic way.
I believe that an excellent attitude to learning is the most crucial aspect of learning any subject, and so plenty of time will be spent encouraging the learner not simply to learn for the sake of an exam, but to learn as they are interested in the subject.
I am an exceptional tutor, and would be delighted to help any learner, regardless of age, background, or ability.
