About Pandora
I am a 25 year old English teacher based in Nottingham. I live with my two cats, and whilst I'm teaching part-time I am also studying to get my Masters degree. I have been teaching secondary school English for four years, and have tutored on and off for several years. My past students range from ages 9-19. I've taught in a grammar school, a college and an international school - which means I've pretty much seen it all when it comes to teaching styles and learning environments!
I love cooking, reading and creative writing (I even have a poem about to be published!)
I really enjoy teaching and tutoring because I am highly passionate about English, and I find it really rewarding helping other people learn to love this subject and find their footing in it. My teaching motto is: nobody is bad at English, they just haven't found the right way to look at it yet - and it's my job to help with that!
Whether you hate or love English, I am confident that you will enjoy our lessons, because they will be only targeted around the important parts and the fun parts. Our lessons will be a collaborative project that will improve your skills in English as well as potentially raising your interest in it as a subject.

I teach engaging and personalised lessons designed to help you/your child achieve the academic and individual goals you are aiming for. I create structured lessons that build confidence as well as the requisite skills to succeed. Skills and content I can teach include (but are not limited to): reading comprehension, literary analysis, creative writing, academic writing.
Typically, our sessions will last an hour, but this is something we can adjust based on needs of the student.
I have 4 years of experience as a secondary level English teacher, and several years of tutoring experience. I hold a BA(Hons.) in English from a Russell Group university, and am currently on track for a high distinction in a MA in English Studies.
I have much experience in differentiating for SEND students, as well as both lower and higher level pupils. If the student has any specialised learning needs, I will happily accommodate; every child should learn in the optimum environment.
My lessons are open for students from Years 4-6 for 11+tuition; Years 7-9 for Key Stage 3 support; Years 10-11 for GCSE tuition; Years 12-13 for A Level support. Undergrads can also reach out to work on university level skills.

Hi there, Pandora was amazing help with my daughter and helping her get up to a Grade 8 on her English GSCE - she was very clear in explaining the text and how/when literacy devices were used, and also how the test would function.
