About Laiba

I'm Laiba, an English tutor with a genuine passion for helping young children build a love of learning from an early age. Teaching children, especially at the kindergarten and early elementary level, has always come naturally to me, and over the years I've spent considerable time helping kids develop their reading, writing, vocabulary, and spoken English skills.
What sets my approach apart is the patience and care I bring to every lesson. I understand that young learners need encouragement, consistency, and a calm, friendly environment to truly thrive, and I make it my priority to create exactly that. I take the time to understand each child's personality and learning style, so that lessons feel less like work and more like an enjoyable part of their day.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on making English learning fun, interactive, and stress-free for young children. I use a mix of phonics drills, picture-based vocabulary games, storytelling, flashcards, and simple worksheets to keep lessons lively and age-appropriate. Rather than relying on rote memorization, I encourage kids to learn through play, repetition, and positive reinforcement — so they stay motivated and build genuine confidence in English.
Each lesson is typically 30 to 45 minutes long, which I've found is the ideal length to keep young learners focused without losing interest. Lessons are structured but flexible — I always adjust the pace and activities based on how the child is feeling and responding that day.
I have several years of hands-on experience teaching English to young children, including phonics, letter recognition, early reading, vocabulary, and basic conversation skills. My experience comes from consistently tutoring children one-on-one, which has helped me understand how different kids learn best and how to adapt my methods accordingly.
My lessons are designed for kindergarten and early elementary students, roughly ages 3 to 8, including complete beginners who are just starting to learn letters and sounds, as well as children working on building reading fluency and expanding their vocabulary. I welcome students from any background and tailor each lesson plan to the individual child's level and learning goals.
