About Ed

Hi I'm Ed,

I have a degree in English Literature from the University of East Anglia, and am currently completing my PGCE and teaching qualification at the University of Cambridge.
I'm new to Superprof - but not new to either teaching or the English syllabus, with over 150 sessions completed in the last year across a range of student ages and abilities. As a tutor, I aim to not only teach skills but also inspire interest in language and its role as the basis of communication.

I understand that finding the right tutor is a matter of compatability as well as knowledge, so feel free to book in for an introductory session if you have any further questions - or just want a chat about English and how I operate.

About the lesson

My lessons generally run for 1 hour online, during which we will take some time to explore the 'hows' and 'whys' of language in a creative and critical way. I also firmly believe in tailoring sessions to individual students and providing flexible lessons that will focus on the most beneficial areas, so feel free to identify areas of challenge and take an active role in structuring current and future lessons.

My sessions are best tailored for English language and literature subjects up to the GCSE level, and I am happy to run intensive exam prep sessions on the GCSE syllabus.
