About Rebekah
I have been teaching for five years at the high school level. I have worked with many types of students including students who have dyslexia, student athletes who need the language for credit, and students who want to live in France or a Francophone country. I have had three students go to School Year Abroad, which is a program for high school study abroad, and I have had students go on to use their language in business schools. Overall, my students report feeling more confident using the language in practical everyday interactions.

I was the student in high school who struggled with French because it was so focused on grammatical structures. However, my love for French never waned and I went on to earn a Master's degree in French Language, Culture, and Civilization through Middlebury College CV STARR program in Paris. I have lived in France for two and a half years, and understand the importance of using the language to learn and retain. In my lessons I use a lot of games and pop culture references to make the language more accessible for students. Finally, my students leave my classroom feeling confident with their spoken expression and listening comprehension and because of that their confidence with grammar improves tremendously.
