About Caroline

I have been teaching and tutoring for over twenty years. My experience as an examiner means that my whole approach to teaching is focused on exam-style questions and the assessment objectives for the specification you are studying. I enjoy helping students get from their starting point to success! I can also provide guidance on applications to Russell Group universities and Oxbridge. I love the variety and creativity of my job, which comes from working with young people with different personalities and different learning needs. I have lots of experience of working with neuro-diverse learners and have an empathetic and relaxed approach to teaching. I enjoy incorporating interactive learning technologies, such as Jamboard, Padlet and Kahoot, into my lessons so that you, the learner, can be involved on-screen and take away downloads of the work you have done as revision documents.

Dynamic and interactive hour-long lessons tailored to your specific needs! My lessons are focused on the requirements of the GCSE and A Levels exams. As an examiner for a major board, I have inside knowledge of what is expected in exam responses.

Caroline was my A-level tutor for English Language, and she teaches with such passion for her subject. She's so attentive and always incredibly engaging - learning is always equal parts interactive and intuitive. Caroline also provides learners with a chance to explore and express their own ideas, but always gives excellent guidance so work can be done to the best of their ability. I've gone on to pursue my own career in English Language due in part to Caroline's enthusiasm in her teaching, and she's altogether wonderful to learn with!
